OCTOBER 2015
Steven came to visit again for his fall break from school. We stopped for Zippy's burgers on the way home from the airport. Adele jumped right into her usual position as the second lap dog.
We put Steven to work pretty much right away, just picking up where he left off on his last visit.
There are few things more warm and fuzzy than watching my little siblings and my babies play together.
We had to get away from the project house, so we took a rainy day walk over to Starbucks. Steven is an expert kid wrangler. He makes my job look too easy sometimes.
Everyone helped with this horribly massive project mess that weekend. I didn't have a realistic idea of how many more weekends exactly like this would lie ahead. I'm pretty sure drywall dust is a permanent part of our lungs by now.

Matt's high school friends, Holly and Jake, came to town for a wedding and met us for lunch at Ferry Queen. Yum-town!
I used a kid free morning to load a massive amount of construction debris into my car and take it to the dump. I was seriously so mad about it. That was not a one woman job.
The Bischoffs came to visit while Steven was still here. We tried to make Baby Paisley ride Buck.
The fabulous Brooklyn gave me a pedicure. Matt challenged her to see who could paint the best foot. Obviously she won.
We took Carina and Lincoln out dancing with the whole gang.
These kids really love each other! We were all so sad when they left!
My cousin Spencer stopped by when he was in town for the day from Arkansas.
So many mixed emotions about park time.
Matt reads Lord of the Rings to the kids at night. I just love that he's touching all three of them in this picture, and that Jude's foot is appropriately resting on Adele's face.
Matt and Teague are so romantic with each other when they're working on the house.
Adele and Jude pretending to take naps in her bed. They play better together as she gets older and can understand his orders.
Princess Leia buns!!
Best Halloween costumes yet.
Trunk or Treat at church. I told all the kids there were real spiders in the trunk and made them reach into the webs for their candy. Only one or two of them cried.
These girls keep me healthy by making me go to hot yoga even though I hate to sweat that much.
Adele insisted on wearing her Leia buns to church. Also, I made that little jumper dress when I was pregnant with her. It barely fit in this picture!
Reaction to Star Wars Episode II, watched in preparation for Halloween: nail biting, nose picking, and a dropped jaw.
Josh's school had crazy hair day, and he refused to participate. Jude, on the other hand, got so excited about hair color chalk that he showed up like this for regular old preschool. On the drive to school he kept saying, "Am I so crazy and cool?" and "I look awesome!" from the back seat.
Silly faces for Daddy at work
I made and frosted thirty Halloween sugar cookies for Josh's party at school. I stayed up late and packaged them carefully so he could take them on the bus, only to find out that his teacher completely forgot to serve them. The party was so hoppin' that they didn't notice any lack of treats. That's what I get for trying to help!
This was Jude's cute costume parade at preschool.
Painting with shirts off on a rainy day
My parents came to town again for Halloween weekend.
It was a little cold and rainy, and our neighborhood does not have many kids, so almost every door opened to very excited grown ups with massive candy portions to share.
Our house with its open wall and yucky old curtains would actually make a great haunted house. Please note Josh's candy sorting here. He is definitely my son.
