Steph's Chicago Visit #2

Backtracking here...

Matt's beautiful sister Stephanie came to visit us again at the beginning of June for a few days. We didn't get a lot of pictures, but we had loads of fun! Josh loves Aunt Stephy so much!

Here we are at the Lego Store in the mall on Michigan Avenue. If you look closely, you can see that Darth is a Lego masterpiece, and Josh is coincidentally wearing his "Barf Vader" shirt. Had to get a picture of that!

We hit the beach one day after getting an expensive lunch at Fogo de Chao, a Brazilian churrascaria steakhouse. Soooo good!

It was a little cold and windy, but there's nothing like snuggling on the beach with my baby!

Josh can't leave the beach without taking a few runs on the slide at the playground by the parking lot.

Steph, Josh and I walked through the city to Ed Debevick's one day to meet some of her volleyball friends for lunch. It's a really fun restaurant. It's like a diner where the staff treats you like garbage...it's kind of their thing. I highly recommend it to anyone with a sense of humor!

We visited the famous "bean" or "Cloud Gate" on our way home.

Earlier that day we unexpectedly caught MARIO LOPEZ shooting for "Extra" in front of the river. He looked really short and was wearing a whole lot of orange make-up, but it was totally awesome to see him! Those dimples took me back to junior high when I would watch "Saved By the Bell" every day after school. Too bad he didn't keep the curly mullet!

The next day, we saw NELLY presenting his new cologne at the mall. It made me feel famous just seeing these guys in person! I'm such a dork. We ventured out to this particular mall to go the Foot Locker's "House of Hoops" store for Steph. She works at Foot Locker in Provo, and apparently they only have like two of these all-basketball-gear stores in the country.

Awesome weekend! Thanks for coming, Steph!

This made me miss Chicago for a second. And then your Midland post snapped me back into the lovlies of Midland (aka..parking lot, garage, central air, and country club heaven.) :)

No, but really, Chicago is an amazing town. Glad you and Steph were able to enjoy it.

I HOPE you at least had the decency to shout out "Jessie plus Slater FOREVER" at Mario. It's what I would have done.
