B to the ischoff

Some of my favorite people in the whole world drove all the way from Boston to see us last month. That's 12+ hours in the car, with three kids, and two border crossings through Canada. I can't believe they love us that much, but it sure makes me weepy! I'm so glad they all got to meet the baby. She got plenty of extra love that weekend.

The kids hadn't seen each other in about two years I think, but they just picked up right where they left off. Josh and Carson bonded over video games, Brooklyn helped with the baby and led all the kids in trampoline games, and Skylee made sure everyone was laughing at all times.

It was so much excitement that Jude actually fell asleep in my arms. This never happens anymore. It was very sweet.

Josh was so proud to teach Carson how to play War.

And Matt and I were excited to cook as much good food as possible while there were appreciative mouths to feed. We used to eat dinner with these guys regularly in Chicago when they lived upstairs from us.

We got a babysitter one night and went to Cafe Zinc for dinner. I haven't had so much grown-up time in forever.

Sunday morning was Easter, and the kids woke up to a table full of goodies. Carina is my personal photographer when she's around, and she got some cute shots of the boys.

We didn't have special matchingEaster outfits for church this year, so there was no fancy family picture. But here's proof that we went, even if we were so late that we sat in the lobby all of Sacrament meeting.

Back at home, Carina took some glamour shots of Adele.

And of course later we had a good egg hunt and a little dye party.

We were so lucky the weather cooperated so the kids (and Linc) could play outside. It was a real love fest here. Can't wait to return the visit and see their place in Boston!
